Our highly anticipated VBS programs went off like a bang this year in 4 different locations with 510 children and at least 123 professions of faith for the first time. The families in Salivail, Ezlinagar and Saramanagar were counting down the days for our program to come to their communities with gifts, the Gospel, fun stories, dances, skits and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Please pray our family and staff are able to follow up with the new believers with sensitivity.
This month our Awesome Father proved His faithfulness yet again when our girls school suddenly closed giving us a brief window to find a great school that would grant access to all 19 sweethearts!! Thankful for approvals and the hard work of our brother enduring many interviews to get our girls in one of Tamil Nadu’s top schools. Now we are in need of a big Van for our girls. It’s costly renting vans each morning. A van will be needed when we move to village life next year after the building. We know the Lord already has us covered and we love another chance to see Him work. It will cost about 24, 000.
Xavier’s hard work continues to be blessed in the slums of our community with hard work reaching men through sports. We are thankful for God’s amazing provision each month granting for another league and more men to raise up as leaders with the sword of the Word in their hand.
When ’Normal’ for these special boys means hunger, rejection, struggle and pain—-John Lennon’s hit “All you need is love” couldn’t ring more true. John, Paul’s brother and staff ran a cricket tournament game with them—no better way to show love to boys in India than playing and feeding them!! Pray for these VERY RIPE HEARTS!
The couple pictured below is very dear to us, especially to Paul’s dad. John, Paul’s brother pastoring in Paul’s absence collected testimonies from church this month. It was hard to pick one, ea. Powerful, able to bring us to tears as we see miracles of friends leaving paganism, finding health, escaping abusend the slum life…amazing works of the Lord in our midst as He is reaching people each week. Parandaman above is just newly married. He was not only a devote Hindu—he was a priest in the temple across our street whom Paul’s father won to Christ in friendship and care. You can always find him studying his Bible at any hour in our church downstairs and learning to read. He is now a valuable servant in our fellowship, he loves worship and has a huge hunger for God! God provided for his recent marriage—-a joy to see!
