"We were under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure, so that we despaired of life itself. ... But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God," Paul writes to the Corinthians.
He wanted them to know about the trouble he endured in the province of Asia. He was also discipling them - and us - about why. (2 Cor. 1:8-9)
Gospel Coalition blogger Mitch Chase, says, "God will give you more than you can handle so that his great power might be displayed in your life." (You can read the whole post, here. It's a great read!)
God has definitely given ITMI's Paul and Molly more than they can handle! Paul and Molly are raising, educating and providing for 23 children. On a missionary pastor's income. In the slums of India.
Yeah, that's more than they can handle. And God keeps using it to point to His goodness and tender care for these most treasured girls.
Jesus said, "Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” Matthew 17:20
God has moved mountain after mountain for this faith-filled couple on the journey they embarked on several years ago when they joyfully accepted responsibility for the 19 girls they loved.
Right now, He has allowed 3 more mountains to pop up in their path.
The girls started school in June, but Paul and Molly didn't have the funds to pay the fees. The girls' school gave them a grace period, but they are now late, and Paul and Molly still don't have it.
Paul and Molly's girls ready to go to school.
