Romania
This article was originally published in the December 2017 edition of ITMI Monthly.
During this season of giving, we asked ITMI partners to give you their heartfelt answers to several questions. These are from Adi and Ema Ban. May their answers bless and encourage you!
A silver lining in a not-so-good situation that happened this year is...
When funding did not come through for Integra, [the NGO Adi worked for to support his family] due to the political unrest in Romania we spent most of the spring and summer months praying and waiting on the Lord for the next step.
It was a time of personal reflection and growth, both vital for us as believers. Then the Lord amazed us!
When help came from the Lord through ITMI, for this period of time, we felt it was Him telling us again, “do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.” Philippians 4:6
God also brought new opportunities for ministry. We had events all the weekends in October, and three more in November, making this one of the most engaging falls of the past years.
We are beginning to understand better and better the reason God had behind the activity slowdown at Integra, which was disheartening at first.
In October, we had a larger conference for parents and teachers on Parenting Adolescents and several seminars on "Family and Social Media" for smaller groups of parents.

We are also grateful to have established the Association for Family Integrity, an NGO, as a platform for all these activities.
Something I learned this year that stopped me in my tracks and changed my outlook was…
What I found in Ukraine. Things were different before the war broke out in Mironovsk, Ukraine. For 15 years there was little response to the Lord.
But war in the city prompted many to reconsider their stance toward Him.
Within days, the membership jumped from 12 to 30, and now the church sees 100-150 during services regularly!
Adi visited a war-torn part of Ukraine to encourage the local church.
Interest in the Lord has jumped sky high since the war broke out.
