"Please know that your donation extends far beyond the monetary; it is a testament to the power of faith and community in Christ."
Last Christmas, ITMI supporters gave generously to help our partners open doors to make disciples through the physical provision of blankets. More versatile than clothing, this hard-to-get item can keep warmth in or provide comfort when sleeping on the ground. Your gifts are enabling our partner, Charl van Wyk, to organize two outreaches using the provision of blankets.
As winter comes upon the southern part of Africa, Charl is in the process of implementing these outreaches, and we will keep you posted as they progress. In the meantime, Charl had this to say to the supporters who made this possible.
Dear Friends at ITMI,
Greetings in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ! I hope this communication finds you blessed and thriving in His grace.
On behalf of our ministry colleagues and the community we serve here in Africa, I extend our heartfelt gratitude for your generous donation of $2,000.00 towards blankets.
Your kindness and support arrived at a time of great need and promise.
“But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” 1 Corinthians 15:57
At present Cozmore is hard at work on our mission base in Gwayi River, Zimbabwe. He has an electrician and tilers preparing our chalet, for future ministry accommodation.
Zimbabwe has unparalleled beauty, and our brothers and sisters are quite resilient, facing numerous challenges, from economic hardships to health crises. Yet, it is through the grace of God and the benevolence of people like you that we continue to make a tangible difference in the lives of those we serve. Our friends are going to be blessed out of their socks with the blankets you’ve sponsored.
I’ll update you as the blanket projects, in Stone Hill and Zimbabwe, unfold.
Your contributions directly support our initiatives, in different countries, including Bible studies, youth Gospel outreaches, widow and orphan support, food production and feeding, educational efforts, health support, and spiritual counseling.
Each of these endeavors aims not only to meet immediate physical needs but also to foster spiritual growth and community empowerment, reflecting Christ's love in action.
Please know that your donation extends far beyond the monetary; it is a testament to the power of faith and community in Christ.
We are deeply honored by your trust in our joint ministry and promise to steward your gift with integrity, transparency, and prayerful consideration.
May the Lord bless you abundantly for your kindness and generosity. We hold you in our prayers, thanking God for your partnership in the Gospel.
In Christ,
Charl van Wyk
One of those “resilient” sisters in Christ, Naomi (name changed for privacy), sells vegetables by the road to earn income to support her four kids and two grandkids. She was widowed in 2017.
Naomi suffers additional emotional trauma because of local practitioners of traditional African religions, who, Charl writes,“label the widows as witches. If their farming projects succeed, they’re accused of witchcraft. If they fail, they are called murderers of their husbands and therefore cursed!”
Her oldest daughter left the country in search of work to send funds home to her mother and children. Sadly, she’s never been heard from since.
“No one visits us,” Naomi says. “We are completely isolated. My family and I are desperately in need of necessities.”
Now Naomi is receiving supplies through the ministry at Gwayi River Mission. She works in the Gwayi River Mission vegetable garden and the Mission supplements her efforts with food parcels.
Gwayi River Mission reaches widows like Naomi with food parcels, blankets, and other necessities, demonstrating and declaring the Gospel to them as well as the community as they do.
