THE CONTEXT
In Touch Mission International works with and equips local believers for their call to share the Gospel in their villages, communities, and country.
We work alongside local believers and their churches to help them obey the Great Commission by providing resources that help believers share Jesus and meet physical needs.
Believers are a minority and are often denied opportunities and aid that others can access. A believer is always at risk of being turned into a scapegoat in the workplace or the community when there is blame to be placed.
Steve and Abid Visit Brick-Making Laborers
HISTORY
During the 2020 Covid pandemic, ITMI's Steve Evers was contacted by a Pakistani Math teacher who wanted to grow in Christ. Steve and Abid met virtually to work through the Seven Areas of Life Training material, a series of lessons in Biblical worldview that Steve has found helps people from all walks of life grow as disciples of Jesus.
ITMI supporters quickly responded to the call to help get the SALT material translated into Urdu, and Abid began sharing what he was learning about Jesus with others in Pakistan.
Pakistani believers were hungry for the eye-opening, paradigm-shifting Biblical truth taught in the SALT material Abid was teaching. Church leaders began implementing the Biblical financial principles of giving.
When the Indus River was inundated with water, breaching its banks and washing away entire villages in 2022, ITMI worked with Abid to supply the resources to visit flood victims, meet some of their physical needs and share Jesus with them.
