“Early morning hours of Monday, our guard came and told John Jere and I the water pump is stolen. It was a big blow to me because I first thought about our investment, garden with many crops meant for sale so that we can help our Samaritan children with school fees. Then I thought about water for washing clothes, drinking, bathroom and more to it, we have my father, David Musona who is suffering from prostate cancer. He is bedridden and does not go to the bathroom but uses Catheter (Tube). His legs and hands are stiff.
More to it, our neighbors do not want us to use their water because their water pumps easily breakdown when they are over used. Now we do not have water for cooking, bathroom, washing, bathing and the toilets. This is the second time thieves have stolen from us. The first time, thieves came and stripped and took all the electrical fitting from our church. I feel so bad that thieves have stolen our water pump at our mission station. No water = No life.” – Mrs. Joyce Jere.
John, Joyce and the children prayed around the pump and the garden for God to provide for their needs. This what one of the Samaritan Children, David Masumpuka, prayed.
