Gerhard and his team shared the gospel with many on their Northern Cape trip. As you enjoy seeing some of the precious faces, will you choose one or two to pray for? Pray that the gospel seeds that were planted will take root in their hearts and minds and that the Spirit would grow them in love for Jesus.

One of the places Gerhard’s team visited was a home for the elderly in Pofadder.

They also visited Pofadder Primary School to share a presentation of the gospel. Many of these children accepted the gospel and came forward for counseling.

After Pofadder, it was on to Aggeneys. Here one of the team members shares the gospel with the children at Aggeneys Primary School.

Pella is a Roman Catholic mission station.

Gerhard’s team shared the gospel with a large group of school children in Pella.

One evening in Pella, the team showed The Passion of Christ video. They drove through the neighborhoods announcing the showing for that evening.

Beside Roman Catholic influence, the Northern Cape area is also influenced by the Rastafarian religion or way of life. Rastafarians believe that a former Emperor of Ethiopia, Haile Selassie I, was another incarnation of Jah, which is their name for the Christian God. Haile Selassie I is believed to be the second coming of Jesus Christ. The wearing of dreadlocks is associated with these beliefs, although not universal among or exclusive to it.

These are the sweet faces of rapt attention to the gospel presentation at a school in Onseepkans. Because of ITMI’s involvment in South Africa, your generousity, the Moreson Farm team’s boldness, willingness and faithfulness, these children heard the gospel – maybe for the first time ever.

The team presented the gospel to school children on the Island at Keimoes. An international humanitarian group also attended.

School children on the Island at Keimoes listening to an educational presentation by Gerhard on abstinence and purity. Dispelling cultural lies about sex and educating people with the truth is a dire need in South Africa, because sexual impurity is literally destroying them and their culture. For example, it is difficult to find someone who hasn’t lost a loved one to HIV/AIDS. If school children can be told the truth, the prayer is that they would make better decisions than the previous generation has.

This is the team’s accommodations for the second week of their stay in Northern Cape, South Africa.

In the distance are some homes in area of Cellie, Kakamas.

Gerhard and his team presented the gospel to these school children in Cellie, Kakamas.

These are the faces of children who heard the gospel because of the faith of Gerhard and his team at Moreson Farm, and because you gave generously to ITMI, so we were able to fund parts of the trip.

Eager faces of precious children who heard the gospel because of your faithfulness to give, ITMI’s faithfulness to equip our partners, and the Moreson Farm team’s willingness to step out in faith and be used by God to bless people in the Northern Cape area.

Alcohol is one of the negative but strong influences on this area. Here a young man, only about 20 years old, lies drunk outside a liquor store. In Reitfontein, the liquor stores are the only ones able to stay open past 7pm.

The face of a child at Askam Primary School, who is hearing the gospel, maybe for the first time, thanks to God’s graciousness, ITMI’s presence in South Africa, and the willingness of believers like you and like our partners at Moreson Farm to give generously of their time and resources.
