During my last time in Kraków, God also put another ministry on my heart: Word of Life church near the village of my family. Let’s just say that I have been praying since my salvation over 10 years ago that I may somehow partner in ministry with a church near the villages of my family.
I have had a relationship with Word of Life for about 5 years now. I decided to meet with the pastor with an open heart and let him know that I would like to serve in any way possible.
The pastor and I got the idea of doing street evangelism which had not been done with the church for over two years. My extended family all live in Zabierzow county of about 20,000 people with zero Evangelical churches.
And no, I am not joking, ZERO churches who preach salvation as a free gift!
Word of Life church is in the county next-door called Krzeszowice. It’s population is 30,000 people, but there is only one evangelical church of 15 people.
And no I am not joking, one church of ONLY 15 people!
So returning to my conversation with the pastor, I told the pastor that I would be willing to do anything and if evangelism has not been done in a while then no problem. I told him I will go evangelize in the town square with or without any of the 15 people in his church.
Later in the week on Sunday I came and shared my vision with the 15 person crowd. I only had one person named Gabriela come up to me after that was interested in such an evangelism.
The following day was the day of the planned evangelism. Indeed Gabriela did come to this evangelism. At first she had a lot of reservation with the idea but after after only a few conversations we both saw a huge amount of fruit in our time in the town square.
As a sidenote I will just say that you my readers have to understand one thing, I had been through this Townsquare many times throughout my life from childhood. My grandfather lived here and we constantly visited him. I had only dreamed that one day I would share the good news with the people in the town of my grandfather.
To me it was one of the biggest miracle I had ever experienced to go to my people and the people of my grandfather and to share with them the good news of the real and living Jesus Christ
Because this evangelism went so well, Gabriela and I have decided that at least us two together will go evangelize our own people and help support the one small evangelical church in this area as often as I am in Kraków.
We are going again Friday, September 26. The good news is that this time Adam Weber, who is running our new college group, and Gabriela’s friend Noemi might come join us!
Please pray that at least one person comes to a saving relationship with Jesus Christ and gets plugged in to the Word of Life church.
