Romania
ITMI's Adi and Ema Ban or their Young Couples Fellowship Group was able to help Maxim get a tank of gas and transport his family to the Romanian border. (Adi pictured with Maxim's family at the border above.)
Men of fighting age are not allowed to leave the country, so Maxim could not leave.
Families can wait up to 60 hours in their vehicles at the borders. Temperatures are frigid, with highs in the 30s.
Adi Ban and a team drove through the night to get to the border to pick them up.
Adi also carried the cash to the border, where he put it in the hands of trusted agents who will carry it to the believers still in Ukraine, since their banking system is down and they are unable to get their hands on cash.
Pastors Ilya, Anatoly and Vladimir, the other pastors Adi has contact with, remain with their families in Ukraine.
