Poland
Amid a flurry of preparations, refugees are starting to arrive in the cities of our partners.
The cities where ITMI partners are ministering.
Fifteen have arrived and are being housed by Leszek Wakula's church in Lodz, Poland, and they are ready for another 15.
Leszek estimates the cost of feeding the refugees their church has taken in will be about $33/day per person, or around $990 USD per day.
Keep in mind that in Poland, an average Evangelical church has about 25-30 members. As one of the 5 largest Baptist Church in the country, Leszek's church is larger than that, but this is a big step of faith for a church this size.
No one knows how long these refugees will need a place to stay, so they are going to need help to sustain this generosity and hospitality.
Pictured below, you can see they are using every corner of space and they are ready to welcome Ukrainian refugees!
Every corner prepared to welcome an exhausted refugee from Ukraine.
