Leszek Wakula is the pastor of the only Baptist church in Lodz, Poland, which is the third largest city in the country. Leszek earned his Master's degree from the Theological Christian Academy in Warsaw. He also did postgraduate studies at the German Baptist Seminary Hamburg and Grand Rapids Theological Seminary. In addition to shepherding Lodz Baptist Church, Leszek serves as the President of the Polish Bible Society, co-director for the Billy Graham Institute for Evangelism and Discipleship at the Baptist Seminary, and member of the Polish Lausanne Committee. He is involved in missional discipleship, mentoring younger leaders and pastors. Leszek has been in ministry since 1986; he served as the pastor of a small church in Kielce, Youth Director for the Baptist Union of Poland, Vice-Chair of the European Baptist Youth and Children Committee, a member at large of the EBF Executive Committee, and General Secretary of the Polish Baptist Union. He has also served with various international organizations. Leszek lives in Poland with his wife, Anna, and they have three adult children and three grandchildren.
