Hello Everyone,
A big thank-you to all who have been praying in regards to my hope of hosting a 14-year-old dom dziecka boy (Miłosz) and 10-year-old Maciek (from Warsaw) over the Christmas break.
The first answer to prayer came when I got word that Maciek’s step-grandma agreed to let Maciek come visit me. He will be with me from December 26th to January 1.
Prayers were also answered regarding Miłosz. I received a letter from the Polish court giving a “conditional consent” to my request to host Miłosz……but in all truthfulness, the “condition” was practically already met.
The letter said the judge agreed to let Miłosz spend the entire Christmas break with me, …….BUT…. he (the judge) was still leaving the final decision in the hands of the dom dziecka director……. who, as you might recall from information in the original prayer request, had asked me what day I would be coming to get Miłosz, even before my letter of request had actually been taken to the court office.

Dom Dziecka, a government children’s home, would be a cold and lonely place for a boy to spend Christmas break.
Thank You, Jim Pull quote
I went to the dom dziecka this past Tuesday as I do every week to help with the kids’ English homework. On this particular trip, though, my first order of business was to get the director’s final ok regarding Miłosz’s potential visit.
I won’t go into detail, but it was obvious right off that everyone at the dom dziecka already knew of the court’s decision and the director’s consent.
When I first saw Miłosz, I asked him if he was aware of the news from the court. He looked at me and said, “Yes……….what day and what time will you come to get me??” I told him I would be there on Friday between 8:00-9:00 in the evening, to which he replied, “Ok…..thank you, Jim,” and then reached out and gave me a big hug.
Suffice it to say, Miłosz is really happy about his upcoming visit over the holiday break.
If I get a chance, I will try to take a few pictures of the time that Miłosz, Maciek, and I all spend together. I fully expect it to be a very enjoyable Christmas break for all of us.
Thank you, again, for any prayers you were able to offer up on our behalf. I am most grateful to each and every one of you.
Merry Christmas to all!
