My name is Ryszard. I am 42 years old. The New Life Center introduced me to the pastor, because I was an alcoholic. For 16 years I was on the street, I did not keep in touch with my family.

At the center, I learned that a life without a relationship with God is nothing. With this newly formed relationship, and the support of the staff at the NLC, I’m on the road to recovery. I’m living again.

I’m starting to talk to people. I used to be an introvert, I kept myself to myself.

Forging a daily relationship with God is changing me, Now I share my problems and no longer bottle them up inside. I have friends now, and it's somewhat nice to know I'm no longer alone.

Its now my 15th month at the NLC without a single day of regret, because every day I still thank God for the day I decided to come to the Centre - where I met the truly amazing staff, that are doing everything to save people like me.

After graduating from NLC, I plan to go to Gniezno, because there is a Baptist Church, whom I’m familiar with. It's nice to know there will
be spiritual help when I need it, a fellowship; and that I will not be alone.

Outside of work, my dream is to help people like me, because I know this life. I have been through the same thing and I am able to understand and connect to what they feel and think.

I know that with God, everything is possible.

My name is Adam and I am 37 years old. I’ve been at the New Life Center for two months and I’ve never been better.

Previously, for 8 months I was drinking - during which time I lost everything: first, my job: which I could not do efficiently as I was in a
near permanent state of drunkenness.

Today, I am grateful that I made it to the New Life Center. My eyes are open, I can think straight now. The work the team do here helps me see life from a whole different angle.

Today I believe that I can get out of alcoholism, and I thank God for the opportunity to be here.
