After Graduation: How One ISM Graduate is Using His Education

There may be "no atheists in foxholes" but there are likely many believing false doctrine in Republic of Burundi military.  

The false doctrines that run rampant in Africa, like, "Follow me and God will bless you," or "Sacrifice [insert desired item] to win God's favor," or, "You need me to pray for you in order to get God's blessing," can't offer hope to those on the front lines.  

These aren't enough to sustain a soldier in a country that has endured a 12-year ethnic based civil war. 

To carry hope through the heartache, suffering and tragedy they've seen, they need real hope. Hope that rests on the Prince of a peace that surpasses understanding.

A truly good King who provides inner peace - a gift not dependent on political peace. 

Captain Nzeyimana John Bosco is a graduate from ITMI's International School of Missions in Kampala, Uganda. His education from ISM has equipped him to winnow truth from cultural "health and wealth" doctrine, and to share it clearly and Biblically. 

His studies have prepared him to understand the Bible and to lead God's people according to it.

The practice he had sharing Christ alongside his ISM classmates during his time there has prepared him to share gospel truth and light.

And that's just what he is doing. 

Captain Bosco is sharing Christ and discipling paramilitaries in the barracks, with his government's permission. Through his ministry, many soldiers have accepted Jesus as their Savior and their lives have been transformed!

The government of Burundi has also appointed him to lead a Peace and Reconciliation office for the youth of Burundi.

Many African leaders and pastors, though they may be sincere, often preach heresies and unbiblical doctrine. Often they are new believers themselves, passionate, but unequipped for leadership.

Sometimes, they even lack their own copy of the Bible!

Because of the ministry of the International School of Missions, Captain Bosco is well-equipped for the calling he is answering.

Because of the tireless, passionate and faithful ministry of ITMI's Muhindo Kawede, founder and Director of ISM, the International School of Missions has equipped and sent many graduates across Africa. 

Because of the selfless gifts from supporters like you, Muhindo Kawede and the International School of Missions are continuing to train and send leaders out into the trenches to offer true hope and true light to the many who need it.
