During this season of giving, we asked ITMI partners to give you their heartfelt answers to several questions. These are from Brooke and Richard Nungesser. May their answers bless and encourage you!
The best, most impactful book I read this year was...
Brooke and I have been reading through various books of the Bible throughout the year. The most recent book we finished is Genesis.
To both of us, Genesis is a book of great wonder and great sadness. Great suffering and yet, great hope.
To see the men and women with great faith suffer and fail has been a blessedly humble reminder to both of us that even if we falter or fail, God is bigger. He can still use us!
Brooke and I are beyond grateful for a God that allows us, in our human imperfections, to serve Him!
As always, we want to thank those of you that pray for us and support us, for walking with two imperfect people and our beautiful children as we serve God with all that we are!
We are humbled, thankful, and love each moment where we get to glorify His name.
Wesolych Swiat i szczesliwego Nowego Roku!
The thing I'm most thankful for this year is…
We are most thankful this year for the grace of God in our lives. We had the privilege to return to the US this past summer and see our families, friends and many supporters.
Our home survived 100mph wind storms with minimal damage. Thank you, Jesus!
Our kids all faced and came through medical challenges this fall. Two stitches on the back of Josephine’s head were removed the day before the first of Adelyne’s two trips to the hospital via ambulance with severe chest pain.
After loads of tests and visits to the doctor, praise God she is fine and everything is normal now, although we have few answers as to the cause.
Maxwell decided that he would like to try pneumonia in October and that wasn’t fun with his fever spiking to 106.9F.
Thankfully he is healthy now and we pray that his little lungs fight any other infections. I’m ready for the kids to stop going to the hospital!!! Ha ha...I guess that will never happen 🙂
What is one way your ITMI supporters directly made an impact for God's Kingdom this year?
I think some of the biggest ways ITMI supporters directly make an impact for God’s Kingdom is by proclaiming first the love of Christ.
It’s not just through words but also backed up with action. Because they not only say they support ITMI but they pray for ITMI and its many projects.
Then many of them back that support with financial gifts. Their prayer opens the doors for the love of Christ to be shown overseas. Their prayer protects us in the field as we face many obstacles, difficulties, challenges, closed doors.
Their prayers opens doors that were closed, cause blessings, gives us strength to overcome the obstacles and difficulties.
Their financial gifts allow us to take the good news of Christ to those that haven’t heard it before and supply us to feed the hungry, clothe the tattered, provide medical care and medicine to those who are dying and sick, and keep us and our families safe, warm, and fed.
This smile says it all! She just received a pair of glasses she'd never afford on her own through Bread of Life's outreaches.
