Poland
Students outside the Evangelical Christian church are also enrolling and being reached with Biblical truth!
One of the biggest hurdles believers in Poland face in their mission to make disciples of all nations - particularly their own - is the reality that often, adults in Poland are afraid to interact with people outside the mainstream state church, including Evangelical Christians.
That means the majority of the population fear those who could share with them that although they are sinners, Jesus pursues a loving relationship with them that they might be forgiven and cleansed from their sin.
Most in Poland feel free to read the Bible, though they may find it intimidating. Until recently, there wasn't a translation that could be read easily by modern Polish speakers.
Our partner in Poland, Dr. Piotr Zaremba, has already led a team that produced both a literal and a literary Polish translation of the Bible that could easily be understood by modern Poles.
Now, Piotr has set his sights on getting Biblical truths into the hearts and minds of young Poles before they develop fear of Evangelicals and of reading the Bible.
One solution Piotr and his team have developed is a Bible course for Polish students age 12-24 that helps grow their faith, their understanding of their Heavenly Father, who He is and what He has done.
It is a terrific resource for believing families to disciple their children and for churches to invest in the spiritual growth of the next generation.
The course meets a graduation requirement for Polish students! This means many who might not otherwise enroll are motivated to chose this course!
It is advertised on social media and by word of mouth. Believing families can enroll their students in this course to help solidify their faith, but students outside the Evangelical Christian church are also enrolling and being reached with Biblical truth!
The course begins in September and runs through the entire Polish school year and includes both in-person options as well as online ones, enabling the course to continue if pandemic related lockdowns become necessary.
The course is free, but those enrolled must have a copy of the Bible and purchase the accompanying workbook.
The workbook is beautifully illustrated with helpful and clear graphics to solidify what the student has learned. It provides the student something to keep and look back on throughout their lives. The workbook also helps justify the credit the student is receiving.
"Last year," Piotr said, "One of our main expenses was providing workbooks for families who could not afford them or families with many children."
This year, Piotr is asking for our help to provide a workbook for a student, allowing him to offer the workbook, and therefore the course, to some students who otherwise might not be able to take it.
This life-changing course, packed with Biblical truth from Piotr Zaremba and his team is going to leave an impact for generations! As God's truth does, it is shaping young lives around truth that will stand against all that afronts it.
ITMI supporters can offer that impact to one Polish student for $11.
That life-changing impact alone would be more than worth it, but there's also an added benefit.
You'll be helping Piotr realize his God-given passion to "translate the Bible for revival" in hopes that many of his countrymen would come to a saving relationship with Jesus Christ.
What a dream to be part of!
