It was a joyful time here at the translators’ workshop yesterday! We finished the typesetting of the fifth edition of the New Testament! The fourth is nearly all gone to the hands of the people! There is need for more copies!
Inside a plastic tent, in such heat that Arizona-native Steve felt it might be approaching temperatures unhealthy for the human body to endure, Steve asked God for a message to give them. This is what God gave him.
Arthur lived on Poland’s streets for 16 years. He bounced in and out of 12 different shelters. Life was such torment for Arthur that he attempted to take his own life – not just once – but 48 times.
Recently, they took 20 of the young men from Stone Hill to a church-owned camping facility. “The excitement was almost too much for them…”
ITMI partners, Paul and Molly are serving in India alongside Paul’s family of national Christian workers. Together the family operates a sports ministry for impoverished youth from the slums, after-school tutoring centers as well as training local pastors and shepherding a total of 3 churches – a mother and two daughter church plants.
Christmas is a time of year when many who would otherwise be uninterested in things of God are more receptive to His message. So whatever their resources, ITMI partners are often found creatively designing ways to reach people around them this time of year. The result?
It seems like someone who had “seen absolutely everything” as a daily taxi conductor, absolutely didn’t know what to do. He had probably never seen this done before – especially from a “white” stranger. The other passengers watched the “white guy” anyway, but now they turned their eyes to my exchange with the conductor with intensity and interest.
