Zimbabwe
If you had the opportunity to invest in a generation that could carry the Gospel farther into Zimbabwe than we ever could ourselves, would you?
That question is at the heart of what Cozmore, Charl van Wyk, and the Zimbabwe ministry team are doing through this Christian youth camp.

Zimbabwe’s young people are growing up in a country that has endured decades of economic hardship, political instability, poverty, limited opportunity, and the long-term effects of destructive national policies. For many families, simply providing food, education, transportation, and basic necessities is a daily struggle.
And yet, as serious as those needs are, there is an even greater need. These young people need Christ. They need the truth of God’s Word planted deeply enough in their hearts that it will remain when hardship comes. They need godly men and women who will walk beside them, answer difficult questions, challenge them to live differently, and show them what it means to follow Jesus Christ faithfully.
Why This Camp Matters
For many of the approximately 80 young people attending, an opportunity like this would normally be completely out of reach. Their families simply could not afford the transportation, food, materials, accommodations, and other costs involved.
But through the faithful work of Cozmore and his team, and through Charl’s continued mentoring and investment in Cozmore as a ministry leader, these young people are being given something far greater than a weekend away from home. They are being given time under the Word of God.

For several concentrated days, they will hear the Gospel clearly. They will study Scripture. They will worship. They will ask questions. They will be surrounded by Christian leaders who care about their souls and their futures.
That kind of concentrated discipleship matters. The teenage years are years when convictions are being formed, identities are being shaped, and decisions are being made that can influence the direction of an entire life. The world is already discipling these young people every day. The question is not whether they will be influenced. The question is who will influence them and toward what end?

This camp is one intentional answer. It is not the whole discipleship process. It is not a quick fix for everything these young people face. But it is a meaningful next step in helping them understand who Christ is, what He has done for them, and what it means to belong completely to Him.
An Investment That Multiplies
And the potential benefit reaches far beyond one young person. A teenager who comes to know Christ today may become a faithful husband and father. A young woman grounded in Scripture may raise children who know and love God. Another may become a pastor, teacher, evangelist, missionary, church leader, or Christian business owner whose influence touches hundreds of lives.
That is how Kingdom investment multiplies. We are not simply helping provide meals and beds for a youth camp. We are helping place eternal truth into young hearts. We are investing in future disciples who may strengthen Zimbabwean churches, lead their families in righteousness, resist the spiritual pressures around them, and proclaim Christ to another generation.

Psalm 78:4 reminds us, “We will not hide them from their children, but tell to the coming generation the glorious deeds of the LORD, and his might, and the wonders that he has done.”
That is exactly what Cozmore and this team are seeking to do. They are telling the next generation. They are planting seeds. And while only God knows the full harvest, Scripture assures us that His Word never returns empty.

Perhaps the Lord would allow you to have a part in that harvest. Your prayers and financial partnership can help make it possible for young people who could never otherwise attend to sit under Biblical teaching, receive godly mentoring, and take another important step toward becoming faithful followers of Jesus Christ.
Would you prayerfully consider investing with us in Zimbabwe’s next generation? We may never know this side of eternity how far that investment travels. But one young life surrendered to Christ can influence a family. A family can strengthen a church. A church can transform a community. And faithful disciples can carry the Gospel into places we may never personally reach. That is an investment with eternal returns.
Editor’s Note
As we came to press, Charl said this camp was so successful that the campers and team are asking when the next camp will be. Cozmore and Charl have another camp planned for November/December. Charl shares the cost per camper is approximately $60 and the venue with staff is an additional $500. How many young people can we send to this life-changing experience? How many future leaders are in this group and the next group of campers?

Thank you for helping plant the seed of God’s Kingdom in the hearts and lives of these young people. One simple act of obedience to the Lord’s leading can change a country for all eternity.

“But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd. Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the laborers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth laborers into his harvest.” — Matthew 9:36–38
