"That was surprisingly pleasurable!"
Mark's face was red. He was referring to the prayer he had just participated in with ITMI's Daniel Machlowski.
Daniel and his brother met Martin while sharing Jesus in the streets of Poland near his apartment in the early 2016. Daniel was astounded to discover that Martin was part of one of Gospel Joy's Word Zones, but hadn't yet understood who Jesus was.
For an average Polish person, it can take 20-50 repetitions of the gospel before it sinks in that you can be saved because of what Jesus did, not because of the religious rituals you do. There is a lot of processing and paradigm shifting that needs to happen.
That day Daniel shared the gospel with Martin on the street, and it sank in. He continued to meet with Daniel to dig into the Word.
When Daniel disciples people, he immediately begins sowing the seeds of mission, and before long, his disciples are sharing Christ with people they know!
Martin introduced Daniel to his manager, Mark.
Daniel's Favorite Bible Story
Mark then met with Daniel and Martin to study the Bible. They studied the story of Jesus explaining to Nicodemus that he must be "born again" into Jesus Kingdom, by having the Kingdom born inside him from John 3 - one of Daniel's favorites.
That day, Mark told them he was in the process of giving his life to Christ.
"I think I might be born again!"
Later, Daniel met with Mark again. This time it was one on one.
Daniel recounted, "He started sharing that two days after our last meeting with Martin and I he spontaneously started talking to Jesus! And ever since then he has been spending time with Jesus, especially at the end of the day. I told him that that seems like he has started a relationship with Jesus."
"I think I might be born again!" Mark shared.
Praise the Lord for him," Daniel says, "It's obvious that God is pursuing him."
Daniel challenged him to read the Bible and Mark said he definitely would. He knew he needed to find out more. Daniel intends to continue meeting regularly with Mark for discipleship.
Pray that the doors would continue to be open for Daniel to meet with Mark and for Mark's continued growth in Christ.
