ITMI partner, Piotr Zaremba maintains a more-than-full ministry schedule.
“At this stage,” Piotr wrote at the end of May, “I am looking forward to some summer rest.”
In addition to being the pastor of the K5N Church, each week during the academic year, Piotr teaches four classes at Poznan University, including Biblical Hebrew, Literary Translation, and A History of Jewish Literature. He also prepares and creates weekly YouTube videos on topics that aid viewers’ understanding of the Bible and hosts a question and answer session on God’s Word and its themes live on Facebook.
Piotr teaches eight additional monthly courses on topics such as Exegesis of the New Testament, A Pauline Literature Study, Selected Bible Translation Issues, Old Testament in the New Testament, and The Septuagint.
Through the course of his activities, Piotr came in contact with a woman who shared with him that she was suffering in some way. Piotr prayed for her according to James 5:13-16, which says,
“13 Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praise. 14 Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. 15 And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. 16 Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.” ESV
Piotr rejoices that her situation changed drastically for the better. The following month, her husband, after witnessing the Lord’s work in his wife’s life, began coming to church!
Piotr’s church, though large for a Baptist church in Poland at around 250 regular attenders, has never had the resources to purchase their own property to meet on Sundays. They have been meeting in their city’s conference center, and Piotr has shared that K5N needs to find a new place to meet. Please pray with Piotr and K5N for the Lord’s guidance and provision.
If you, too, would like to be among the many who benefit from Piotr’s unique Biblical knowledge, check out the “Ask the Translator” page on our website where you can submit a Bible question and Piotr will share what the Lord has taught him through his original Biblical language studies.
