Who can you trust now days? The news stations with regularity manipulate headlines, both conservative and liberal stations, to get us to watch their brand with over-charged and exaggerated statements that almost always more closely resemble their flavor of truth than real unbiased reality.
God has been very busy in our corner of the world!First, the summer of 2016 saw the publication of the entire Bible in the new translation. ‘Nuff said! We’d been working on this project for the past 16 years. When the time came to send the files to the publisher, we were both incredibly excited and unbelievably nervous. This was the moment of truth!
After 16 years of translating, ITMI’s Dr. Piotr Zaremba opens a box of his PRINTED whole Bible translation! It was a moment YOU made possible, so we had to share it!
A most heartwarming story of personal initiative comes from ITMI missionaries Richard and Brooke Nungesser based in Poznan – Poland’s second largest city. Their primary work is evangelizing by teaching English as a second language. But they didn’t stop there.
“I was very religious,” says Daria Przybyla, “but at the same time as a teenager, I was suicidal and depressed.”
ITMI was founded by Bill and Harriett Bathman 35 years ago as a link between believers in America and the persecuted church behind the Iron Curtain. In doing this, we discovered how effective national believers were at reaching the people around them. That’s where you came in. At one time or another, you responded with a gift that empowered a national to make a huge impact. It’s that impact we’re celebrating. Your impact. You’ve put Bibles in people’s hands, bikes under evangelists and pastors, medical supplies and relief in skilled hands, cared for the orphaned, widowed, elderly, poor and forgotten, equipped pastors, planted churches and shared the Good News around the world! God has allowed us to do so many exciting things over the years. One of the biggest projects we have poured into is…
Rev. Piotr (Peter) Zaremba (40) is senior pastor of the First Baptist Church in Poznan, Poland. It is the fastest growing congregation in the country. In addition, he deacons, a school for English language, and an International Church for English-speaking people. Other ministries include a charity fund, youth camps, and providing Christian literature for Christians and non-Christians.
My recent trip to Poland allowed me to see and participate in many heartwarming connections with our Polish brothers and sisters. Included below are a few of the images that I get to experience on my trip to Poland, hoping you get a better idea of what God is doing in this gospel-needy country.
Greetings! I’m fresh off an extended trip to Poland, Romania and Ukraine. We have a lot of great stories of what God is doing in Eastern Europe with Bible translations, street evangelism, homeless ministry, orphans, widow care and forgotten people discipleship.
It’s 3:30am again here at home. This is a time that I have come to know very well the last 11 days. There are some really great benefits from being wide awake at 3:30am.
