We’ve often had parents of young children ask our advice or attend the Parenting Seminar we lead wanting to have the “key” to raising godly children, and we’ve emphasized the importance of…
Leszek and Ania Wakula Serving Faithfully in Poland
Leszek Wakula’s church is considered quite large at about 150 members. This Baptist church has a long history of being faithful during the communist years, even when the communist came and confiscated their whole multi-story church buildings without any compensation.
A Story of God’s Miraculous Protection
Towards the end of the 2014 summer, Jahim contacted Steve and said “…the Hammer is missing!” His family knew not of his whereabouts. Jahim could not get in contact with him. None of his associates knew where he was. He had disappeared.
9 Photos Worth a Thousand Words
Charl van Wyk and the church he is part of have become advocates for a settlement near their city called Klipweuhel. It means Stone Hill. It’s a tough place to be a teenager. In their culture, pre-marital sex is glorified. It verifies a woman is fertile and gives her worth. Senseless violence is part of life.
Saved from Mob Justice
There is a popular song in East Africa that teaches the community that a witchdoctor and a liar deserve to be set on fire. This happened to Mr. Buyongwe (Buy-yong-wee) John, an 80-year-old man who was a well-known witchdoctor, who lived in the Cankozo District in the Republic of Burundi. The people of Cankozo were fed up with the witchcraft practices of Mr. Buyongwe. This led to poverty because many people paid all their money to him to solve their problems. One day the community decided to (punish) his witchcraft lies by setting him on fire.

Building Strong Marriages
Ana followed her fiance, Mihai, up to the stoop of ITMI’s Adrain – Adi as they knew him – and Ema Ban’s home in Oradea, Romania. As the couple welcomed them in with smiles, Ana immediately felt safe and warm. She fidgeted nervously with her fingers, hair and anything else she could find. She and Mihai were there for a diagnosis of their relationship. Ana knew the Bans wrote and published a book on marriage – she assumed they were a picture of perfection. Ana observed Ema’s preparatory interactions with her three sons and her response to her husband, and was relieved to find…
Discipling the Children and Those Who Lead Them
Then one day this letter came from our dear friends whom we knew were expecting a baby in mid-December. I opened it with the expectation of seeing a picture entitled, “Our baby’s first Christmas”. Eduard and Tommy were with me in the room, so they were waiting for the same thing. Inside there was a picture of them, but not with a baby.
From Andrew: Changes and a testimony
I was involved in my parish activities, I sang and I played in various choirs and bands in my church. I went to church every JoannaSunday. It was me who encouraged my parents and my brothers to go to church but they didn’t want to. Even though we were a good family, we didn’t talk about God at home. My life was harmonious, people liked me, I always led many different groups. I had influence over many people. I controlled my life. Until one moment…
